ZTL / ITALIA

Support

Reference information only. Hours await human review. Street signs and current municipal notices take priority.

Is this a government service?

No. ZTL Alert Italy is independent and is not affiliated with the Italian government or any municipality. Data attribution does not mean endorsement.

Can the app prevent fines?

The app cannot guarantee that you will avoid fines. It provides partial reference boundaries, not legal advice, route guidance or permission to enter. Always follow street signs, current municipal notices, vehicle restrictions and permit rules.

Why does it say to check street signs?

Hours have not been checked by a human reviewer. Some source data is old or incomplete, and temporary rules may be missing. Proposed times are shown as review material and do not determine whether you may enter.

Why are there no alerts after I leave the app?

Version 1.0 only supports foreground alerts. Secure your phone in a mount and keep the app open. Driving mode keeps the screen awake. Leaving or locking the app stops location updates and alerts; returning resumes a previously active session. End driving mode when finished.

Which cities are included?

Florence, Milan, Rome, Bologna and Bergamo. Coverage is partial: Rome includes selected daytime zones, Bologna excludes a source polygon marked invalid, and Bergamo excludes complex school/event/annual zones. Turin is not included in version 1.0.

Does it work offline?

Reference boundaries and city information are bundled in the app. The Apple basemap may be unavailable without a connection; address search and opening source websites require a connection. Real-device airplane-mode testing remains part of release validation.

How do I check my hotel?

Open a city, choose the hotel/address check, enter an address and select the correct result. The result only compares the point with bundled boundaries. If your hotel is in a ZTL, ask it in advance about temporary number-plate registration; for a rental car, also confirm with the rental company.

How do I report an error?

Email c15564412316@gmail.com with the city, zone name, a public source link and the date of the rule. Do not send your number plate or personal travel history. A report does not automatically change the data; a human review and an app update are needed.
